Jacobo Pulido Pena

Jacobo Pulido is a Media Studies student in Queens College, New York City. He comes from an immigrant background by way of Colombia, and his studies focus on understanding post-modern ideas to further understand the evolving media landscape. He has been using his understanding of how platform mediated communication has affected corporal experiences and further isolated the sense of community and the self. Through this understanding, he has been organizing events focused on music, food, and politics to combat platform generated isolation and help build solidarity among young media users. Jacobo has a bachelor’s degree in media studies and seeks to continue learning and gain international perspectives to expand his research.
