Jacky Chambers has been director of public health and a member of the National Health Service's (NHS) Executive Board with professional, political and managerial experience of cross sector partnerships, working at national, regional, and local levels. Over the past fifteen years she has developed practical, innovative and effective public health approaches to improving health outcomes for children and young people in Birmingham's diverse, multicultural city. At the national level, she was director of strategy, policy and research for the Health Education Authority providing professional leadership for the design and evaluation of large national TV, radio and press campaigns. Recently, Dr. Chambers was appointed as a trustee for Brook, Britain's largest charity providing sexual health and counseling services for young people. She is also board director of Health Exchange.
