Ivan Prymachenko

Co-founder, Prometheus, Ukraine

Ivan Prymachenko is an educational technology innovator and a co-founder of the largest Ukrainian online education platform Prometheus with 2 500 000 users. In 2013, while still pursuing a master's degree, he launched the first MOOC in Eastern European countries. In 2014, Ivan co-founded NGO Prometheus and initially funded the project with six months' of his university scholarship. In four years, the volunteer initiative grew into one of the largest educational projects in independent Ukraine's history. Prometheus creates and publishes on its platform massive online courses from international organizations (EBRD, UNDP, OSCE, USAID, Google.org), leading NGOs (Anti-Corruption Action Center, La Strada-Ukraine, Ukraine Crisis Media Center), large companies (Microsoft, EY, Deloitte), the embassies of the USA, Great Britain, EU countries, and the Ukrainian government. Ivan studied as a Ukrainian Emerging Leaders Program fellow at Stanford University in 2018/2019 and won Forbes Ukraine 30 Under 30 and KyivPost 30 Under 30 awards.
