Ilirjana Bajraktari is a founder and board member of Healthcare Professionals for Peace and Social Responsibility of Kosovo, which promotes values in healthcare in Kosovo and social responsibility among Kosovo healthcare professionals toward sustainable socio-economic development. She is also advising the Ministry of Health of Kosovo on matters related to population health. Originally from Kosovo, she worked with the World Health Organization as national professional officer for health systems and policy. She also supports Action for Mothers and Children and is a member of the founding committee of the Society of Health Care Delivery Science as well as member of the Swiss Society for Public Health. Dr. Bajraktari earned an M.D. and Ph.D. from the Medical University of Graz. Currently she is enrolled in a master’s program on health care delivery science with Dartmouth College, where among others she is exploring patients’ empowerment in limited resource settings.
