Juma Selemani is a senior education officer at the Ministry of Education Science and Technology in Tanzania. She coordinates early childhood education in the office of the Commissioner for Education. She is interested in pre-primary and early primary standards, reading, writing, and sharing ideas. She joined the Ministry of Education in 1999 as a school quality assurance officer and prior to that worked for more than 10 years as a primary school teacher in the Tabora region of Tanzania. She holds an M.A in literature from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Development from Victoria University, Canada.
