Greg Hayton has been the CEO of the Cambridge Libraries and Galleries for over 25 years. In addition to his administrative responsibilities in Cambridge, he worked as a library space planner on a number of projects. In 1997 he served as president of the Ontario Library Association, and is well known in the library community for his support for intellectual freedom. Mr. Hayton has an enduring interest in art, architecture and design. He has worked diligently to expand the presence of Cambridge Galleries in the community. His most recent building project, the expansion of the Hespeler Library building won a number of awards. Mr. Hayton is also the volunteer Business Manager and board member of Globe Studios, a non-profit organization providing low cost studio and gallery space for artists, as well as Vice-Chair of the board of the artist run Hamilton Artists Inc. Along with his Bachelor of Arts degree, and a Master of Library Science, University of Toronto, Greg Hayton also has a Master of Business Administration, State University of New York at Buffalo.
