Gili Leibushor is a clinical psychologist and the Executive Director of the Orcha Initiative Growing SEL in Israel. The Orcha Initiative aims to enhance the social mobility of children and youth from underserved populations by shaping national policy in Israel and developing the capacity to foster social and emotional learning (SEL) within social systems. The initiative's method involves creating and disseminating data-driven knowledge, models, and systems to strengthen SEL across Israel. Previously, Gili worked in the R&D department at Avney Rosha - The Israeli Institute for School Leadership. There, she led efforts to systematically implement high-quality SEL programs in schools and contributed to the professional development of school leaders, including principals and superintendents, focusing on their own social and emotional competencies and their role in leading SEL efforts. Gili was a fellow at the Mandel School for Educational Leadership, a program co-led by the Mandel Foundation and Israel's Ministry of Education, designed to develop visionary leaders who can drive change within Israel's educational system.
