Gayle Silvey serves as the Deputy Executive Director of SkillsUSA, a role she assumed in October 2024. Her extensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) experience spans from her earliest days as a student to roles as a classroom teacher, state leader, and national leader. Gayle began her SkillsUSA journey in 2006 as Executive Director of SkillsUSA Georgia, earning a strong reputation for excellence and commitment to students, staff, and partners. She joined the national office in 2011 and has since served in key roles, including Membership Development Liaison, Associate Director of Education, and Chief of Staff. In her current role, Gayle leads high-performing teams, drives cross-functional collaboration, and advances strategic planning aligned with SkillsUSA’s Drive to 65 initiative to expand student opportunities and strengthen the nation’s talent pipeline. She also represents SkillsUSA on the ACTE Workforce Development Coalition and leads the organization’s legislative priorities and policy development.
