Fernando Valenzuela Migoya is a strategic advisor, ecosystem builder, and visionary at the intersection of education, innovation, and technology in Latin America. Fernando is an active contributor to international dialogues on the future of learning. He works across multiple sectors, offering strategic guidance on AI adoption, digital transformation, learning ecosystems, and public-private partnerships.
He is the founder of the EdLatam Alliance, a regional learning transformation network connecting thought leaders, educators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to co-create future-ready education systems. Through this platform, he promotes collaborative initiatives that integrate active, social, and experiential learning models, frontier technologies, and human-centered design.
Previously, Fernando held global executive roles in companies like McGraw Hill Education, Cengage Learning, and HP where he led innovation, go-to-market strategies, and investment programs throughout the Americas. In recent years, he has contributed to national policy discussions, higher education reforms, and learning technology deployment across emerging markets. He frequently serves as a board advisor to edtech startups, universities, and global foundations, bridging local knowledge with global foresight.
In parallel, Fernando collaborates on multiple strategic foresight and impact investing projects that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is a core contributor to the IAAE: Global EdTech Impact Alliance, a regional partner of 1EdTech, and leads initiatives on AI literacy, workforce development, and future university models. He has also contributed to white papers and frameworks on ethical AI, metacognitive co-learning, and the systemic redesign of education systems.
