Ewelina Wasko-Owsiejczuk

Ewelina Wasko-Owsiejczuk is an assistant professor at the University of Bialystok. She is a scholarship recipient of the Roosevelt Study Center in Middelburg (2016) and the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at the Berlin Freie Universität (2017). Ewelina is president of the board of the Polish Society of Political Science - Bialystok branch and is a co-organizer of The American Forum - Professor Andrzej Bartnicki Forum For The Advanced Studies Of The United States. Her research focuses on US foreign and security policy, transformation of the political systems, and post-conflict peace building. She is the author of three books and several dozen scientific articles published in Poland and abroad. In 2019, she was awarded a Scholarship for Outstanding Young Scientists in Poland. Ewelina received her master of arts in history from the University of Bialystok and later graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw with an MA and PhD in political science. She is a Salzburg Global Seminar 2020 American Studies Program Fellow.
