Emeline Winston is a museum, exhibition, and private collection consultant at Caring for your Collection, the agency she founded in 2011 with Sian Flynn working alongside a wide range of cultural institutions and private clients. She has extensive experience of museums and exhibitions gleaned from 20 years at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, as head of exhibitions organization, and subsequently as a museum and private collection consultant. Emeline was responsible for exhibition programming, development, management, production, budgets, and installations to create a diverse range of blockbuster exhibitions. She managed a large internal team and numerous external consultants (curators, architects, designers, graphic designers, and conservators). Emeline ran negotiations with museums internationally to establish multi-venue exhibition tours, contracts, and fee structures. She established the Caring for Your Collection after completing a year-long consultancy at the British Museum. Additionally, she led loan requests with museums and private collectors. The larger survey exhibitions involved building relationships and negotiating contracts with international state bodies/embassies to enable cultural exchanges such as with Russia, China, Mexico, and Turkey.
