Elizabeth Mercer is the chief operating officer of Conduit Capital Ltd, the investment arm and sister company of Conduit, which facilitates early and growth stage investments in financially sustainable businesses focused on creating positive social, economic, and environmental impact. She has 20 years of experience helping to build and improve operations and define organizational strategy, focusing for the last 13 years on the social impact sector. Before joining Conduit Capital, Elizabeth served as the chief operating officer and chief strategy officer of 100 Resilient Cities (100RC), a Rockefeller Foundation funded organization that focused on changing the way cities plan and act in order to better prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century. At 100RC she helped build the organization from inception through to establishing a vibrant network of 100 cities in 42 countries and over 200 private sector, NGO and academic partners offering resilience products and solutions. Prior to 100RC, Elizabeth served as deputy COO of Acumen, an impact investing organization that changes the way the world tackles poverty by investing in social enterprises, emerging leaders and innovative ideas. Elizabeth began her career in the private sector working for IBM and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. She holds a master of public administration from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, and a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Princeton University.
