Elizabeth Ktenidou is a teacher of English in Thessaloniki, Greece. She graduated from the School of English Language and Literature (Aristotle University in Thessaloniki) and completed her M.A. in American studies at the University of East Anglia, having been granted a double scholarship from the Arthur Miller Center and the School of American Studies. In her M.A. she focused on Woodrow Wilson's and George W. Bush's rhetoric of war. Two years later, she completed her second M.A. in international relations (University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece) where she focused particularly on failed states and humanitarian intervention in fragile/failed/failing states. She then did a four months long internship in political and economic affairs at the US Consulate General in Thessaloniki. In Thessaloniki she also cooperated with distinguished Fulbright scholars in order to do academic workshops on republican theory and virtue ethics as part of the second Summer School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, entitled "Crossing Borders and Civic Engagement in a Changing World". She is currently studying and researching for her Ph.D. proposal. At the same time, she has a long background in dance studies and performances.
