Efthymios TZIOKAS is an expert-counsellor at the EU Delegation to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. He joined the Delegation's team in 2019, following a career path where law, public service and human rights intersect; He has worked extensively on international organizations and human rights issues (Council of Europe, OSCE) at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is currently working on the formulation of the EU external policy activities in relation to CoE political dialogue and strategy and especially in the areas of CFSP, democracy, the rule of law, electoral processes and civil society. He also monitors activities to ensure coordination in the elaboration of joint projects. He studied law and international relations at the University of Athens (Greece) and European law and public policy at the University of Bordeaux (France) and the ÉNA/École Nationale d' Administration in Strasbourg (France), respectively.
