Edna Frimpong is the head researcher for European and Australian markets at Cglytics. She has been with CGLytics for the past five years and has a great passion for compliance and the corporate governance landscape. Within her role at CGLytics, Edna has gone through six proxy seasons with three handled directly and supervised by her. As a corporate governance intelligence platform, the research team provides corporate governance data points of which executive data is inclusive to serve the needs of clients, stakeholders, and partners. During the proxy season, the research team goes through annual reports, management information circulars(MIC), definite proxy filings (Def14As,) remuneration reports, corporate governance statements; depending on the market to harvest compensation data which is then transmitted through our software to our platform. Some of the markets she has significant exposure to are, but not limited to, the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Scandinavia and Austria. Edna's obvious passion for executive compensation and its alignment with performance is evident in various papers she has authored and co-authored on corporate governance landscape in regions such as Continental Europe, United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Before she ventured into corporate governance, she worked as an insurance broker in Ghana after her first degree in insurance and risk management. After two years, she left Ghana to pursue her LL.M. in finance and law from the Duisenberg School of Finance, Netherlands.
