Dwayne Proctor has spent over 20 years working to ensure that Americans are healthy and thriving by implementing sustainable, systemic changes prioritizing input from those most affected by disparities. He is President and CEO of Missouri Foundation for Health, which addresses health equity issues across the state, including women's health, food justice, firearm violence, and infant health and vitality. He co-authored a piece published in Health Affairs that defines systemic and structural racism and approaches to dismantle it. Dr. Proctor is the Board Chair for the NAACP Foundation and the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy. He serves on the National Academy of Medicine's Leadership Consortium which mobilizes resources in digital health and value-based incentives, to improve systems with culture, inclusion, and equity in mind. Proctor was recently appointed to the Commission on Investment Imperatives for a Healthy Nation, which will identify transformative actions to make high-quality health care accessible for everyone.
