BIE Dunrong is a professor and deputy dean at the School of Education of Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China; and an adjunct professor at Xiamen University, Fujian Agricultural University, Liaoning University of Science and Technology, and Zhaoqing College. He is also a standing member of the Board of the Chinese Society of Higher Education Evaluation, the Board of The Chinese Society of Higher Education Management, and vice secretary of the Board of The Chinese Society of Higher Education Study. A frequent adviser to universities and colleges as well as the Chinese Ministry of Education, Dr. Dunrong is a specialist in higher education development and strategic planning, management and organization of higher education institutions, and quality assurance and evaluation of higher education. He attained a Ph.D. in higher education from Xiamen University, Fujian; an M.A. in education management from Huazhong Normal University, Wuhan; and a B.A. in English language and literature from Hubei University, Wuhan.
