Benito Mirón López has been director general of international relations at the Secretariat of Public Education in Mexico since October 2015. He is also a member of several institutions which contribute to international educational and academic cooperation between Mexico and the international community. Among these activities, he serves as secretary general of the Mexican Commission of Cooperation with UNESCO (CONALMEX), as national secretary of the Andrés Bello Organization and co-chair of the Academic Mobility Working Group of the Bilateral Forum on Higher Education, Innovation and Research (FOBESII) between Mexico and the United States.
