Dervi? H?zarc? is the chairman of the Kreuzberger Initiative Against Antisemitism. Prior to this appointment, Dervi? worked for many years as a lecturer for a variety of distinguished institutions and government agencies including the Academy of the Federal Police Department and the Armed Forces of Germany. During his tenure with the Jewish Museum Berlin, he supervised the education department's programs on anti-Semitism. His field of interest and expertise lies with comparative religious studies, anti-Semitism, and anti-Muslim racism. Through a longstanding relationship with the Turkish Community of Berlin, he was also named chairman of the supervisory board of the Turkish Community in Berlin. In addition, he collaborates with the American Jewish Committee's Turkish-Jewish Roundtable. Dervi? received his M.A. in political science from the Free University of Berlin. He is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
