Deisyi Anna Batunan is an Assistant Professor at Universitas Negeri Manado, Indonesia. Her work focuses on advancing telecollaboration, intercultural communicative competence, intercultural citizenship, teacher professional development, and language skills. She has initiated and managed numerous telecollaborative projects, fostering connections between students and teachers in Indonesia and their counterparts across Asia, Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Australia. Deisyi has published extensively in reputable indexed journals. Her recent research, "Nice to E-Meet You Program to Facilitate EFL Lower High School Students' Intercultural Communicative Competence: A Case Study from Indonesia," highlights the role of telecollaboration in promoting peace education and conflict prevention. The study focuses on enabling Indonesian EFL students to develop understanding, tolerance, and mutual respect through partnerships with collaborators from Egypt, Italy, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mexico, and the Philippines.
