Daniel Gorfine

Daniel Gorfine is the founder of Gattaca Horizons LLC, a boutique advisory firm. He served as a key consultant for the curation of the 2026 Finance Forum. Daniel also currently serves as an adjunct professor of law at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, is a co-founder of the Digital Dollar Project, and serves as a senior policy advisor to the Financial Technology Association. Daniel was previously the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) first chief innovation officer and director of Lab CFTC. A graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, Daniel holds a J.D. from George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC, and an M.A. from the Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He is Fellow of Salzburg Global.
