Curd Knüpfer is a political scientist at the Freie Universität Berlin's John F. Kennedy Institute, with a focus on the US media system as well as right-wing politics and movements. He currently works as an assistant professor of political science with a special focus on political communication and North American media systems. In addition, he is an associate researcher at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society where his research projects examine the impact of digitalization on transnational publics and digital communication by right-wing actors. He is a Fellow of Salzburg Global Seminar.
