Cristina Vieira is a digital civil society lab fellow at Stanford University. She was born in Medellín, Colombia, and is a digital social researcher whose work focuses on the intersection of platform research and social movements in Latin America. Cristina is building the field through the design of tools and methodologies that empower civil society organizations and social movements. She is the co-founder of Linterna Verde and the Lupas Project at Puentes.org, initiatives that provide civil society organizations and journalists with social listening tools, insights, and training. With 15 years of experience in the civic tech and transparency communities, Cristina has worked with organizations such as Transparency International (TI-S), The Engine Room, and La Silla Vacía. She also serves on the board of the Karisma Foundation, continuing her commitment to advancing transparency, digital rights, and social impact in the region. Cristina holds a degree in Political Science and a Master's in Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance, where she was a Heinrich Böll Stiftung Fellow.
