Cherukei Wobo is a senior Advocacy and Communications Specialist at War Child in the Netherlands, based in Amsterdam. She advances War Child's mission through strategic advocacy and impactful communication, focusing on children's rights in fragile and conflict settings. Before War Child, she worked at Plan International EU Office in Brussels, Belgium, as an Engagement Manager and Policy & Advocacy Officer. She worked on Plan's campaign on girls' rights and leadership, organized key EU events on children's rights, and monitored policy updates on development cooperation, humanitarian action, and gender. Cherukei holds an M.Sc. in conflict resolution and governance from the University of Amsterdam, an L.L.M. in law and politics of international security, and a B.Sc. in political science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her diverse experience includes roles in various nonprofits dedicated to human rights, aid, education, and diversity. Driven by a deep commitment to human rights and development, Cherukei wishes to inspire and lead in the advocacy for children's rights.
