Charles KAYE is an international music and arts consultant and Director of the World Orchestra for Peace, which has given 17 concerts in the first 15 years of its existence and in 2010 became the first major symphony orchestra to be designated UNESCO Artist for Peace, ‘in recognition of outstanding dedication to promoting cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue and a culture of peace’. His activities as Consultant have included the organisation of the opening concert for the  Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, the jury of Placido Domingo’s 1999 “Operalia” singers’ competition, advising the Royal Opera on the implementation of their Young Artists’ Program at Covent Garden and Alberto Vilar for his musical philanthropy in Europe. He is consultant to Lady Solti and the Solti Trustees and Foundation, and to many leading artists and international educational establishments. From 1977 to 1997, he was executive administrator to Sir Georg Solti, with responsibility for his artistic projects and management. These included recordings and tours with the Chicago Symphony and with the Vienna, Berlin and London Philharmonic orchestras; the Carnegie Hall Project for young professional orchestral musicians; and the first gathering of the World Orchestra for Peace for the fiftieth anniversary of the United Nations in Geneva in 1995. Mr. Kaye holds an M.A. from Cambridge University, United Kingdom.
