Casey Noenickx is a rising junior and student journalist at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. Since 2011, she has traveled to 11 countries between North America, South America, Europe and Africa. Through a journalism and history double major, she hopes to connect her experiences as a reporter, editor and producer to her passion for traveling and fostering worldwide connections. As a sophomore, she worked as the director of marketing for the Panhellenic Association and as a marketing intern for a local start-up company, learning to manage websites or social media accounts and monitor engagement analytics. Now, she works for the engagement desk of the University of Maryland's independent student newspaper The Diamondback, as an assistant online managing editor. Her interest in social media is rooted in her talent for photography and studio art, including painting and drawing in her spare time.
