Cadence Kwok

Cadence Lincoln Kwok is a first-year undergraduate student pursuing her Bachelor of Social science in global communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She is interested in advocacy around existing inequalities and injustices, ranging from gender to racial based; as well as emotional wellbeing and teenager struggles, resonating with her on a profound level. She has interned as junior reporter at a local English news media outlet, South China Morning Post’s (SCMP) Young Post section in July 2024, conducting interviews and publishing a diverse range of articles, from light-hearted cultural content to argumentative writing on social issues in a local context. She hopes to her language capabilities and rare insider’s perspective as an Asian in Western media, to bring sustainable, tangible change beyond mere awareness.
