Belle Cheung is a cultural worker based in Vancouver, Canada. Her practice sits at the intersection of the arts, culture, and heritage sectors to center racial equity, cultural heritage, and anti-racism in community and cultural planning policies and initiatives. Belle is currently a Cultural Planner with the City of Vancouver, where her work focuses on decolonizing culture and heritage policies, recognition of cultural heritage, and equity in community engagement and urban planning. Belle holds an MA in Geography from the University of British Columbia, where her research focused on multiculturalism and whiteness in Canadian cultural policies and questions the role of cultural institutions as accurate representations of national identity. Belle is also a professional stage and production manager for theatre, opera, and live events.
