Atoka Jo founded the liberal arts summer program at Himeji Jogakuin (Himeji Girls' High School), which fosters discussion-based active learning for high school girls in rural areas of Japan. Atoka is interested in exploring the intersections between finance/development economics, education, and technology. Atoka has worked with research and projects related to education and development economics in Argentina, Ghana, and Costa Rica and interned at the United Nations in New York. She holds several recognitions and honors, such as Forbes' 30 Under 30 of Asia in 2023, World Economic Forum Davos Conference 2022 participant, Masayoshi Son Foundation Scholar. Global Shaper.
