Asmita Naik Africawala is a senior manager and program research and monitoring at Ambuja Foundation, India. She leads research for foundation's programs in agri-based livelihoods, water, skill development, women empowerment, health, and education. She also supports management of foundations' monitoring and evaluation systems. Asmita is passionate about integrating data, policy, and practice to drive change. With a strong interest in the intersections of technology and social impact, she aims to harness technology for social transformation. She has primarily engaged in social research with academic institutions and non-profit organizations over the past 15 years and was an early career scholar of The International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development. Asmita served as a member of Board of Studies at two Indian Universities. She has a doctorate in human development and family studies and won an award from National Academy of Psychology, India for high quality research in the form of doctoral dissertation.
