Arielle Eagan is an oncology and palliative care clinical social worker and bereavement counselor. As the Rwandan Research Fellow with The Dartmouth Institute, Arielle is currently working with a team of Dartmouth, Rwandan, and international expert colleagues to develop advanced clinical screening and assessment metrics for palliative care in Rwanda. Arielle received her master's and bachelor's degrees from Boston College and has worked across Pediatric and Adult Oncology/Hematology, Intensive Care Units, and Emergency Medicine, providing inpatient counseling and support groups for patients and families facing complex disease trajectories. Through the Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship with Harvard University, Arielle joined the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at Boston Children's and Dana Farber from 2013 to 2014 under the leadership of Dr. Joanne Wolfe. She then began international work in 2014 through the Global Health Corps Fellowship, assisting with the development and implementation of psychosocial programming for children and adolescents with HIV/AIDS in Zambia. Arielle is dedicated to developing and enhancing oncology and palliative care services in developing countries, with a particular focus in psychosocial care and complex decision-making.
