Arie L. Nettles is an associate professor of clinical pediatrics at the Vanderbilt Center for Child Development. Her work includes planning, implementation, and leadership of a new clinical psychology service for the Center for Child Development in the Division of Developmental Medicine. Her clinical duties include providing psychological and diagnostic services in the CCD to children and families who are faced with autism, behavioral and emotional difficulties, developmental delay and mental retardation. Previously, she was an assistant professor and assistant research scientist of education in the School of Education and assistant clinical professor of pediatric psychology at The University of Michigan. She also was an assistant professor of educational psychology and counseling at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Nettles received her Ph.D. in psychology from the George Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.
