Anna Hovey is an undergraduate student studying multimedia journalism with a minor in French at the University of Maryland. She transferred to UMD in 2017 after spending two years in an honors program at her local community college. Anna is the general assignment editor of the student-run publication "Stories Beneath the Shell", as well as a member of the transfer honor society Tau Sigma. Last summer, she worked as a broadcast intern in the Africa Department at Voice of America. She looks forward to exploring beautiful Austria while learning about the current state of the field she will one day go into.
