I am currently in the second year of BA Communication and Media at Bournemouth University. Before attending university I was a member of OnO Theatre Company where I helped to create and performed in a number of productions that were toured to schools to enhance the pupil's education and cultural awareness. It was there that I realised the extent to which education and creativity can impact an individual's life. From a young age I have loved stories, both fictional and real and university has enabled me to explore and develop my storytelling abilities. Being part of the Salzburg Academy on Media & Global Change will enable me to cultivate those abilities and learn new ways in which I can apply them to help the world we exist in. The media is essentially an amalgamation of storytelling platforms that are constantly changing, and I relish the opportunity to work alongside and learn from the other participants from around the world so that we can think about how best to impact it positively.
