Andrew is a Director at the Office of Development Affairs in the Presidential Court, UAE. Andrew was part of the Office’s founding team, and shaped its service offering, operating model and capabilities over the years. Andrew has broad interest in how leadership and government can create lasting impact for society and the wider national interest, through initiatives, incentives, catalysts, prizes, technologies and other innovative mechanisms. Andrew’s work ranges from strategic advisory support for leadership’s decision-making to the incubation of longer-term initiatives, including the application of behavioral science to establish beneficial social norms and the design and implementation of national initiatives that foster societal resilience. Two such efforts include the establishment of the UAE’s national food waste and loss program and the set-up of a registry to recognize and champion the nation’s frontline heroes during COVID. Before his current role, Andrew worked with consultants Booz Allen on the transformation of the Abu Dhabi Public Sector. Andrew holds a master’s in engineering science from the University of Oxford and a master’s in business administration from Columbia University.
