Amy Hastings is a former chief operating officer of the Salzburg Seminar, a position she has held from 1992 - 2010. As chief operating officer, Ms. Hastings oversaw all administrative and program activities of the Seminar, both in its administrative headquarters in Middlebury, Vermont, and in its program and conference headquarters in Salzburg, Austria. Ms. Hastings has spent her professional career in the educational advancement field, having held positions at Yale University, Boston University, and Middlebury College. At Middlebury, she was campaign coordinator of the College's $80 million capital campaign and later served as director of development. From 2000 - 2009, she served as a board member for Vermont Public Radio, an affiliate of National Public Radio. Ms. Hastings has a B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama, and an M.A. in religion from Yale Divinity School, Connecticut.
