Amie Njie is a senior education officer in the Human Resource Directorate of the Education Ministry of the Gambia. Her research focuses on the status of guidance and counseling in all Gambian schools, in both conventional and madarassa (Arabic and Islamic studies schools). She is responsible for research and data collection from all government education staff for the development of an education staff register. Amie has been an assistant returning officer in elections in the Gambia since 1996. She holds a bachelor's degree in education and an M.A, in human resource management.
