Alvaro Garrido García is Group Chief Security Officer at BBVA, leading the global team that manages information, data, cyber security, physical security and anti fraud operations. He has 25 years experience and prior to joining BBVA, he held several roles including Group Chief Information Officer at Nordea and Global Head of Technology at Standard Chartered Bank and Global Head of Technology at British American Tobacco. Alvaro has a Master in Telecomm Engineering, Telecommunication from the Escuela Técnica Superior Ingenieros de Telecomunicación of UPM. He also holds an International Management Program, Business Administration and Management and Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Sloan School of Management.
