Altman Studeny
Teaching Artist, Artists in Schools and Communities, South Dakota Arts Council, Pierre, South Dakota, United States
Altman is an artist and educator from Plankinton, South Dakota. His practice addresses questions of Midwestern mythology and regional responsibility in cultural creation, with a strong emphasis on fostering inclusiveness and focusing attention through collaborative art making. Altman has worked as a resident artist with the South Dakota Arts Council since 2008 and holds a master of fine art from Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine.
