Alexander Kubyshkin

Alexander Kubyshkin is a full professor of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Saint Petersburg State University. He joined the university in 2008. Before that, for many years, he occupied a full professorship at Volgograd State University, Russia where he led a department of regional studies and the Center for American Studies. He is interested in discovering and exploring international affairs, American studies and intellectual history of US and Canada. He is an author of 160 publications, including 7 monographs. He is a fellow of Fulbright Programs exchange (1996/97, 2010/11), Kennan Institute (2003) and Salzburg Global Seminar (1999,2019). He currently finished the book about American universities in the structure of the civic society. He received PhD from Saint Petersburg State University and DSc in history from the Institute of General History (Moscow).
