Aleksandar Ivanovski
Environmental Expert in European Union projects, Particip GmbH, GFA GmbH, Macedonia
Aleksandar Ivanovski is a senior environmental expert in European Union projects for two German companies (Particip GmbH and GFA GmbH), where he uses his 14 years of experience to improve transboundary nature and water resource management, rural development, poverty reduction, and sustainability in Western Balkan, Middle Eastern and North African countries. Macedonian by origin, he has worked on nature protection and transboundary resources management in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa for international organizations including the Global Environmental Facility, UNDP, IUCN, the Swiss Development Cooperation, the German Government Development Bank, the European Union and the German International Cooperation (GIZ). His work is not only comprised of giving expertise but is also underpinned by project and financial management experience on water management and sanitation, and water supply. He holds an M.Sc.in environmental engineering, having received his education in the subjects of ecosystems transboundary management, climate change and environmental management in the Netherlands at UNESCOIHE, with studies also at the University of South Bohemia, the Technical University of Vienna, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology.
