Alberto Vasquez is a Peruvian human rights lawyer and advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities. He has served as a consultant to various UN agencies and worked as research coordinator at the Office of the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities. In Peru, he has been actively involved in the drafting, advocacy, and monitoring of laws and policies concerning persons with disabilities, and worked at the Ombudsperson Office and the Peruvian Congress. He is also president of the NGO Society and Disability - SODIS and a member of the Redesfera Latinoamericana de la Diversidad Psicosocial. Since 2015, he is a member of the Grantmaking Committee of the Disability Rights Fund.
