Ong-orn (Aim) Prasarnphanich currently serves as chief of One Health branch, U.S. CDC Southeast Asia Regional Office based in Bangkok, Thailand. Her program works on significant zoonosis in the region and facilitates One Health partnerships among local, national, and regional stakeholders. She has a background in animal disaster management in developing countries in Asia Pacific region through her work with World Animal Protection based in Bangkok. She served as an intern to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) in Paris as well as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome. Before her time with U.S. CDC, she most recently worked with Uuniversity of Minnesota as their regional technical officer for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded One Health Workforce Project. Her role was to provide One Health-related technical support for the project in Southeast Asia. Aim received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in 2010. She recieved a Master Public Health from University of Minnesota where she also completed the veterinary public health and preventive medicine residency.
