In 1993, Admir escaped from the Bosnian war as an 8 year old refugee boy and a boat took him to a segregated neighborhood in Landskrona, Sweden. The opportunity to become someone, or something, was not obvious and sport was his rescue. From 1997-2007 Admir took care of hundreds of kids through his organization and one day, back in 2008, he received a letter from the Swedish King were he was awarded as best leader in Sweden because he had given thousands of young people meaningful new goals in life. In 2012, he was honored as a Swedish representative of the International Visitor Leadership Program hosted by the US State Department and joined the Global Responsible Leaders Initiative in Cape Town. In 2013, Admir was placed 35th on Business Week's list of Sweden's 101 Super Talents. in 2014, he was awarded the Award Ashoka Fellow and was also awarded Östergötland most enterprising man award of Swedish Enterprise. in 2015, Admir was nominated by the magazine Manager as one of the top 3 in the 2015 Diversity Head Leader Gala in Stockholm and completed board training with Michael Berglund. In 2016, SWB recognized him as top 10 by Human Centered Business Index (released March 15), and represented Sweden at the Global and Entrepreneurship Summit in Silicon Valley, USA, hosted by Barack Obama. Today, Sports Without Borders reach over 17,000 kids every day.
