Adam Beeson is head of school, academic director and co-founder of SI Global Academy in Asheville, North Carolina. He is interested in problem-based and experiential approaches to learning, incorporating outdoor and adventure education, travel and cultural immersion and multimedia skill development to foster global citizenship and personal growth in students. Adam has taught at international and independent schools in Austria, Costa Rica and the United States. He helped design the global citizenship certificate program at New Summit Academy Costa Rica while teaching in the classroom and facilitating wilderness excursions throughout Latin America. He holds a B.A. from Brevard College, USA and an M.A. in international education from the University of Bath, UK. Adam also received professional certifications from the European Council of International School and the National Outdoor Leadership School. Adam previously served in a number of roles for Salzburg Global Seminar and the Global Citizenship Alliance.
