David Malone, Rector at UN University, Tokyo, delivered keynote speech at June Board Meeting
Salzburg Global Seminar held its annual June Board Meeting, People and Power: Will we recognize the world in 2030? inviting speakers from around the world to reflect on the past and the future, and discuss how the world has progressed, and how they see it transforming further.
An interesting mix of experienced and young innovators and change makers discussed the lessons learned since the Millennium Development Goals we adopted 15 years ago, and how this might impact global development following the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), in the next 15 years.
David Malone, Rector at UN University, Tokyo delivered the keynote speech discussing the global development over the past years, especially in the developing countries, and the progress he sees them making by 2030.
He also discussed the power shift happening in the United Nations as more countries undergo economic and social growth and the need for change.
