What You'll Be Doing

As an integral part of the Communications Team, you will be telling compelling stories about the impact of Salzburg Global’s programs. Your work will span across our website, print publications, social media platforms, and external media partners.

The Communications Team works on every Salzburg Global program. As a result, you will gain exposure to a broad range of topics and experts, which will help expand your knowledge and networks.

You will also assist in other internal and external communications, providing you with experience beyond journalistic writing and across all the typical communications outputs of a non-profit organization.

Typical duties include:

  • Writing both quick-turn-around and in-depth interviews and features for SalzburgGlobal.org, program reports, and external media partners’ publications
  • Conducting in-person (during programs) and online (post-program) interviews with Fellows and donors
  • Helping to produce multimedia content for Salzburg Global’s social media and digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Researching Salzburg Global Fellows after they have participated in a Salzburg Global program and tracking their work
  • Maintaining the digital assets and publications libraries, and assisting with worldwide mailing distribution
  • Providing administrative assistance to the Communications team

The internships are full-time, for a maximum period of three months.

Although the position is not paid, we will provide the successful candidate with:

  • Excellent networking opportunities with the international participants of our programs

Internship start dates for the Communications Internships are available in:

  • Mid-March

  • Late September

Should your application be successful, we will provide the exact dates on completion of the internship offer. Due to program scheduling and accommodation reasons, we do not accommodate internship requests outside these fixed periods.
