Jong-Hwa Ahn is an expert in international security and strategic planning. Recently, he worked for the United Nations on policy planning and developed the Strategy for the Digital Transformation of UN Peacekeeping. He is currently a Research Fellow at the International Policy Studies Institute and a member of the National Working Group Korea for the DCAF - Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance. Jong-Hwa was a Korea Foundation Fellow for foreign policy and regional strategy at the Pacific Forum. As an army officer in the Republic of Korea, he served in the Korean Demilitarized Zone and with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan. He also worked on various policy research for the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and National Defense.
