Digital publication showcases vital questions and innovative outcomes that are critical for the future of teaching
In December 2024, an international group of 55 teachers, policymakers, and key stakeholders from over 20 countries convened in Salzburg to address "The Future of Teaching." Together, they explored urgent issues: the global teachers' shortage, the impact of new technologies, and teachers' voice in an evolving global education architecture. Participants engaged in rich discussions, resulting in vital questions and innovative approaches aimed at shaping the future of teaching worldwide.
On World Teachers’ Day on October 5, 2025, we launched a digital publication sharing highlights and outcomes from this collaborative session. This digital publication captures key insights and outcomes from the session, emphasizing the roles of collective action and teacher leadership as levers for equitable education reform.
This report showcases the key outcomes from the session, including:
- The Salzburg Statement on Collective Action for Education Equity
- The launch of 100 AI Champions
- Salzburg Global Center for Education Transformation Lecture on "Teaching in a Paradigm of Love & Justice"
