Dr. Teresa Li is currently the assistant director overseeing the Family and Elderly Health Services in the Department of Health of the Hong Kong SAR government. She is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Community Medicine) and a specialist in Public Health Medicine. Dr. Li joined the Hong Kong government as a Medical & Health Officer in 1994. Her past duties involved regulation of medical device, consumer health and safety, and health administration. She assisted the chief medical manager in coordinating the medical and health services for the 2008 Olympic Equestrian Events in Hong Kong. She has also worked in the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health in areas of communicable disease surveillance and outbreak investigation and control. She is currently a trainer of the Hong Kong College of Community Medicine, member of the Review Subcommittee of the Medical Council of Hong Kong, and member of the Grant Review Board of the Health and Medical Research Fund. Dr. Li graduated from the medical faculty of the University of New South Wales and later obtained a Master degree in Health Administration from the same University.
